Overview

Nestled on 6 Rue de Monttessuy in the heart of Paris’s 7th arrondissement, Chez Ming is a Chinese restaurant that offers more than just a meal—it serves an experience. With the majestic Eiffel Tower as its nearby landmark, this spot combines the allure of Parisian charm with authentic Asian flavors, making it a noteworthy destination for both locals and tourists.

Chez Ming’s menu is a rich tapestry of Asian culinary gems, spanning from delicate steamed dumplings and savory assortments of vapeurs to robust mains like stir-fried beef with black mushrooms and bamboo shoots or pork sautéed in spicy and curry sauces. Their variety extends beyond traditional Chinese dishes, touching on Vietnamese pho and Thai pad thai noodles, showcasing a seamless blend of Asian influences while maintaining a cohesive dining style.

The restaurant's standout dishes—such as the perfectly crafted dumplings and the flavorful wok-tossed noodles—receive frequent praise for their balance and freshness. Customers have also enjoyed signature dishes like the sweet and sour pork chow mein and monkfish with sauerkraut, revealing thoughtful creativity in the kitchen that transcends typical Chinese fare.

Beyond the plate, the space itself offers a relaxed ambiance with outdoor seating that allows diners to soak in the Parisian atmosphere. While the service is generally warm and attentive—with the owner often visible and involved—some patrons note moments where staff can be a little hard to catch, especially during busy hours. Yet, the timely arrival of dishes and generous portions compensate well.

Chez Ming caters to a diverse audience: those seeking a quick, satisfying lunch with options like a lunch special featuring spring rolls and house-made ice cream, visitors wandering after a day at Versailles, or couples hoping to dine with a picturesque backdrop. Its accessibility and range make it a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic and well-prepared Asian cuisine in an iconic Parisian setting.

With a menu that embraces both depth and variety, and an environment that merges convenience with charm, Chez Ming stands out as more than just another restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. It presents a culinary journey where Chinese classics meet cross-Asian inspirations, delivered with Parisian flair.

Have eaten lunch/dinner twice. Pleasant service, owner/manager active. Had take away today, excellent. $25.00 lunch special, fantastic spring rolls, main course, and fantastic ice cream, other options and ala Carte available. Visiting for two months. Worth a trip.

I saw this restaurant on TikTok and decided to try since we were near the Eiffel Tower. We were able to sit outside since it wasn't busy. Order a few dishes and it came out super fast. Everything was delicious.

A mixed Asian restaurant with a good backdrop od the Eiffel Tower. We had dinner and we did get a seat outside due to timing (someone was just leaving). Overall it does seem very popular compared to the neighbouring restaurants. The food were a bit higher in price considering what they are, but the serving size is good. You can share a plate and a cup of rice (depending on how much you eat) between 2 people. The food itself tasted fine. Unfortunately both of the steamed dumplings we ordered were overcooked and the wrap was falling off when you grab them. For mains we ordered a couple of stir fried, the lobster and the duck, which both tasted nice and cooked well. All food came out on a timely manner. The staff were slightly difficult to get attention. I would still recommend going to this restaurant for decent Asian food and of course a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.

This place has an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. Had the thinner noodles with chicken... tastes really good. Food also came out super quick, with a good size portion. I would definitely go back again.

Stopped in after I toured Versailles this morning, so I was hungry. Terrific service and even better food!! They have an extensive menu, so there’s something for everyone craving an Asian fix. I’ll probably go back for dinner tomorrow, even though it is a 50 minute walk from my hotel. Such a hidden gem!!

The Chinese food in Paris is really delicious. This restaurant has a wide decoration. The two of us ordered boiled fish, beef noodles, and salt and pepper bullfrogs. We recommend the latter two dishes, but the fish meat in the boiled fish is a bit delicate and difficult to find.

The fried noodles was amazing, a little bit salty for my taste on the main course that we ordered, had better roast pork back in London but food was comforting after a long walking tour of Paris, and it has an amazing view of the Eiffel.

This is a full Asian restaurant with an Eiffel Tower view. Food is really good and they have a big space inside and a decent space outside.. they serve the food fast clean and fresh. When we were here, it rained a little bit outside, but there was an umbrella that was ready to cover us.
